HOMELESS

Introduction :

That there has been an OVERALL decline in the HOMELESS POPULATION from the last CENSUS . While there has been a 28% decline reported from RURAL INDIA , there has been a 20% increasing in HOMELESS PEOPLE living in the CITIES . But still there is a long way to go , only spending MONEY will not solve the problem . HERE’S what needs to be done .
Homeless People :

May live in a variety of situation , including sleeping OUTDOORS (“ SLEEPING ROUGH “) , staying in HOSTELS , BED and BREAKFAST and TEMPORARY supported ACCOMMODATION , staying with ACQUAINTANCES . HOMELESS is defined as a person forced into HOMELESS due to a LIFE EVENT ( loss of a JOB , DISASTER , losing a FAMILY MEMBER who is the BREADWINNER , DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ).
TYPES OF HOMELESS PEOPLE :

Can be essentially be BROKEN DOWN into 4 CATEGORIES .
• Chronic .
• Episodic .
• Transitional .
• Hidden .
• CHRONIC HOMELESS :

Is used to describe people who have experienced HOMELESS for at least a YEAR – or REPEATEDLY – while struggling with a DISABLING CONDITION such as a serious MENTAL ILLNESS , SUBSTANCE use DISORDER or PHYSICAL DISABILITY .
• EPISODIC HOMELESS :

Is often result of PATTERNS of BEHAVIOUR and RELATIONSHIPS , and many times is the RESULT of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE and other LIFE TRAUMA EVENTS , including severe EPISODES of DEPRESSION . Those who move in & out of HOMELESS .
• TRANSITIONAL HOMELESS :

LIVING refers to any type of LIVING SITUATION that is TRANSITIONAL . The primary purpose or MISSION of TRANSITIONAL LIVING environments is TEMPORARY … common types TRANSITION LIVING include TRANSITIONING from JAIL or PRISON , an addiction TREATMENT CENTER or a MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY . short term , usually less than a MONTH .
HOMELESS ( URBAN HOMELESS ) :

However , the most vulnerable of these are the URBAN HOMELESS . The URBAN HOMELESS person contributes to the economy of the CITIES and thus the NATION as cheap labour in the INFORMAL SECTOR ; yet they LIVE with NO SHELTER or SOCIAL SECURITY PROTECTION . HOMELESS PEOPLE in URBAN environments may face the risk of BEING ROBBED or BEATEN UP .
HOMELESS ( RURAL HOMELESS ) :

In general , a RURAL AREA or a COUNTRYSIDE is a GEOGRAPHY AREA that is located ouside TOWNS OR CITIES …. Whatever is not URBAN is considered RURAL . TYPICALRURAL area have a low POPULATION DENSITY and SMALL SETTLEMENTS . A RURAL AREA is an AREA of LAND OUTSIDE the DENSELY populated URBAN AREAS in a TOWN or CITY . RURAL AREAS are traditionally AREAS not included in the URBAN DIFINATION .
CONCLUSION ; HUMAN RIGHTS needs to be UPHELD .
GLOBAL PLAN of ACTION through WHO ( WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION )
IMPLEMENTATION of LAWS in PROBLEMATIC .
SOCIAL AWARENESS and EDUCATION can contribute to CHANGE present in ATTITUDES of STIGMA and DISCRIMINATION .
